A new evening worship experience in Clackmannan
At 7pm on October 25th, 2009 we are launching our new 'cafe-church' style evening worship experience. Called 'TnT' (Tea n' Testimony), we hope to provide a spiritually dynamic, but gentle time of worship sitting round tables sharing fellowship over tea, coffee, hot chocolate and juice, singing praise songs and listening to a visiting speaker give his testimony and bringing a spiritual message for us. On our first evening, we are glad to welcome the Revd Rab Craig, successor to our own minister at Craigneuk and Belhaven Church in Wishaw. Rab was ordained and inducted to the charge of Wishaw Craigneuk and Belhaven Parish Church linked with Wishaw Old Parish Church in October 2008. Joining the Corps of Royal Engineers as a boy soldier at 16, Rab served for 9 years during which time he was employed as a Combat Signaller and a Bomb Disposal Engineer. Since then he worked in the construction industry in Scotland and the Channel Islands as a joiner and as a site manager. His call to ministry was as sudden as it was painful. Following a near fatal accident that resulted from a 30 foot fall from a building he felt God had saved him for a purpose and he identified that purpose as the call to ministry. This Damascus Road experience was pivotal in changing the direction of his life; touched by the hand of a God who loved him he sought to turn that love into action. Throughout the long recovery process he pursued the call that brought him to Wishaw. Our second TnT meeting will be held on Sunday 29th November, 2009, at 7.00pm when we will be welcoming as our guest the Revd Anne Stewart, Chaplain at Castle Huntly Prison, near Dundee.
